I finally finished my last two Mother's day presents... better late than never. The wall hanging that I made for my Mom is my first quilt. It's a little lop sided, but since Mom has been trying to get me to quilt since I was 3 months old she will love it. I cannot post or discuss the present for my Step Mom since I'll be giving to her this weekend, and I don't want to spoil the surprise.

The garden is going great but is in need of mulching. Eric is in the process of building a fence around it in his spare time. It should be done by next year. ha-ha.

My Mom is back from her trip to Georgia and is headed over with goodies, so I'd better put the coffee on.

Here it is... my first post, my first blog. I've been wanting to do this forever, but it just seemed so complicated. Actually it still feels complicated, but over time I hope to make it cute. This blog is mainly for family and friends to keep up with what we are up to. I'd like to post pictures of Vermont (it's so beautiful here), the kids, our garden, things we've made, food I've cooked... You get the idea. Here is a picture of our kids to get this thing started. It's from last summer, but it's one of my favorites.
